The Butte County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet on March 3, 2009 to discuss budget cuts that will put the residents of Butte County at significant risk. Among the items on the agenda are the loss of 23 firefighters as well as the closure of 6 fire stations during the "off-season" between November and May. This is a VERY bad idea and your Board of Supervisors need to know what they are doing is wrong. Below are three documents loaded with information YOU need to know. Two are articles from the local newspapers and one is a document scheduled to be presented to the Board of Supervisors during the March 3rd meeting.
