Who we are: A 501c3 non-profit, public benefit corporation since June 2002 comprised of community residents and interested stakeholders from local, state and federal agencies. Mission: To educate the community, to increase the awareness of fire risks, to reduce wildfire fuel loading, conserve natural resources, and to prepare for other disasters. Meetings: We meet the second Sunday of each month with the exception of May, when we host the annual stakeholders meeting. Meetings are at the Yankee Hill Grange on Big Bend Road. Click here for driving directions. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Links Funding: We actively seek funding to accomplish projects through grants and community support. Projects and Programs: AM1630 Emergency Communications, Dooryard Education Visits, Water Source Identification, Concow School - Wildfire Curriculum, and provide a variety of Community Presentations throughout the year. Concow-Fire Recovery Fund: The YHFSC has started the Concow-Fire Recovery Fund to assist low income, disabled, uninsured, and under-insured residents of the Concow area affected by the recent fire.
