We frequently get email messages asking us why we are doing this. We think the email messages below can explain why we are doing this better than we can:

"Thanks again for the wonderful web based scanner. I live off Colter and was watching an aerial fire fighting effort just behind us on Nimshew. This site gave me the facts that I and my family need to make decisions, and should have been getting from the local goverment"
- Garry Lebel, Magalia.

"A note of thanks for whomever has set this site up. I read about it in the online POA Newsletter...just in time to use the service when the helicopter, fire trucks and guide plane flew over the structure fire on Colter last night.... Wonderful tool you've given the people on the ridge..thanks so much."

- The Brister's, Magalia.

"Thank you so much for providing your scanner online. We just had a fire close enough to watch the air attack tanker fly over us at "treetop" level (The canyon between Clark Road and Scottwood). I looked for emergency info online and found your great service. I hope you can continue offering this, as I have bookmarked you and will no doubt return many times in the continuing fire season."
- Craig Heath, Paradise

"Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate this site. We live at Pentz & Pearson, and there is quite often alot of activity. We never had a way of finding out what was going on. Quite often, nothing in the paper. I saw the smoke from our backyard today from the fire over on Scottwood. It was most helpful to know where the fire was. Always on the lookout during fire season."
- Nick & Terri Neade, Paradise

"What a great idea and resource. My wife was surfing the web to get information on the 'scottwood fire' today and she stumbled across your scanner. We live about a half mile from the fire as the wind blows and it was very comforting to listen to the quick progress CDF made on this fire. Thank you, this is a great example of how the internet should be used."
- Eric Munsterman, Paradise
