Jake Hickock over at NorCalScan.Org has his scanner broadcasting online for the world to hear. We used it extensively during the 2005 fire season and wished we had one closer. We looked all over the Internet and couldn't find a dedicated Butte County scanner. Then it dawned on us that we should just go ahead and do it. We began this project in September of 2005 but had to take a break when activities became too busy to really dedicate the time the project needed. When our time became more manageable we decided to attack the project until it was completed. Four new servers, two new scanners, and two new antennas later, here we are.
